Introducing Dr. Daniel Vagg

Daniel Vagg was born and educated in the Penrith / Nepean region. He graduated from the University of Sydney Medical program in 2010 and completed internship and residency at Nepean Hospital before undertaking surgical training in General Surgery. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australiasian College of Sugeons in 2017 then selected to undertake sub-specialty training in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery as part of the highly-competitive Australia, New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic and Bilary Association Post-Fellowship training program. He was the Senior Clinical Fellow at the prestigious Leeds Liver Unit at St. James University Hospital in the United Kingdom where he gained extensive experience in surgery for complex gallbladder disease, liver tumors and liver transplantation.

Daniel returns home to the Nepean/Blue Mountains region to provide a high-standard of patient-centered care as your local General Surgeon.

His particular areas of interest include

– Gallbladder and hernia surgery

– Advanced laparoscopic surgery

– Investigation and managment of liver lesions

– Investigation and management of Pancreatic lesions including Whipples Procedure

– Endoscopy and Colonoscopy
